Cirencester enjoys a very regular bus service from the centre of London (Victoria Coach Station) and London Heathrow Airport with National Express Coaches. This is a cheap and reliable option for independent travellers. At both London Victoria and London Heathrow, connections can be made to many UK destinations, including other London airports. The National Express coach stops outside the school! Link to National Express
There is a fast and regular train service from London Paddington Station that will take you to Kemble Station, just outside of Cirencester. Depending on which train you get, you may need to change at Swindon Station for Kemble but sometimes the train is direct. Please check this when you buy your ticket. Tickets can be bought at the station or in advance from Link to National Rail or Trainline.
From Bristol Airport
There is not a direct bus or train service from Bristol Airport to Cirencester but it is quite easy to get here if you are a confident traveller.
There is a shuttle bus from Bristol Airport which will take you to Bristol Temple Meads train station (it’s about 20-30 minutes by bus). From there you need to get the train to Kemble Station, the closest station to Cirencester.
Getting from Kemble Station
BEWARE! Kemble Station is in a village around 5 kilometres from the centre of Cirencester. There is occasionally a local bus service between the station and the town but it only meets certain trains and it doesn’t run at all in the evenings, on Sundays or on Bank Holidays. A taxi from the station to Cirencester would cost around £10 but we would recommend you book this in advance as it is a small station and they are not always waiting.
We are happy to organise private transfers to and from many UK airports. Please contact us for prices.
